Hello and welcome back to The Comedy Cast; Today we have an interview with Eric Lalor one of Ireland’s most well-loved stand-up comedians.
Eric is well-known to the vast majority of the Irish population thanks to a 10+ year career as a stand-up comedian. He has also appeared on the Dublin soap opera Fair City and his journalistic work over at joe.ie, Ireland’s most well-known entertainment websites.
Honestly, I had such a great time interviewing Eric and I think he had good craic too, we chatted about how he started in comedy and why he owes so much to his wife and Irish-American comedian Des Bishop.
We spoke too about his influences and his style of comedy and how he has learned to work a crowd and judge how far he can go with them each night.
We had a natter too about growing up on Dublin’s northside and how it affected his style of comedy. Dublin slang gets a mentions too and we even had a few words for Ireland’s greatest striker Robbie Keane on the day following his retirement from international football.
Welcomed back to The Comedy Cast; Today you’ll be hearing from an English comedian from Blackpool, Ruth E. Cockburn (it’s not pronounced as it’s spelt, so behave).
We had a right old natter about her former career as a substitute teacher, teaching things like sex education to teenagers, why she got into comedy, her influences, her Donald Trump song and her current project Love Letters from Blackpool which she plans to tour next year.
Hello and welcomed back to The Comedy Cast, today you’ll be hearing from one of Belfast’s finest; Ruaidhrí Ward.
Ruaidhrí’s been active on the Irish comedy scene for a little while now and he’s one of the best out there, so keep an eye out for him.
I loved talking to him, I had a great time, he really had me laughing like we were old mates catching up.

We had a good old chat about all things comedy, how and why he got into it. We spoke too about the current comedy scene in Northern Ireland; why it’s so good at the moment and striking while the iron is hot.
Of course we spoke about growing up in Northern Ireland during The Troubles.
We have a natter about Brexit too and we got a bot ranty about the ludicrousness of it all. We spoke too about Ruaidhrí’s love for appearing in sketch comedy videos and his love for making videos too. We have a laugh about his social media pages too; especially his storify pages where he hilariously live tweets mundane things like a visit from the refrigerator repair man.
Finally then we finish up with our usual True/False Challenge.
Hello and welcome back to The Comedy Cast. Today you’ll be hearing an interview with the ultra-talented American stand-up comedian Adam Grabowski
Adam has to be one of the hardest working comedians at the moment in the states, now and again he gets a day off and I was lucky enough to get to interview him.
We spoke about life on the road and how he deals with being away from friends and family and how he keeps sane while living out of a suitcase going from hotel to comedy club to hotel to airport.

We spoke too about gigging the college scene and how he’s taken it upon himself to be a kind of ‘good uncle’ figure for college students, helping them out and listening to them and giving them a place to share problems.
We also spoke about why he got into comedy among other things and we finished off with our usual True/False Challenge too.
